Who was the real Jim Morrison? What was behind the man who called himself the Lizard King, the Shaman. He was a poet, an artist, a philosopher, and a Rock and cultural icon. He was an outrageous art performer and activist who ignited passions as a member of LA's seminal rock band, THE DOORS. Few actually knew him and fewer yet understand the driving forces that propelled Jim to international stardom and ultimate fame.

Playwrite, Gary Flaxman has written this dramatic 2 act play SWIMMING TO THE MOON that delves into the man behind the enduring image.

The play premieres at the art/works Theatre in Los Angeles Sept 15, 2007. Jim Morrison fans all over are anticipating the event during the 40th of year of the explosive success of The Doors.
